The «Laubehuus» in Zufikon
In the Freiamt region, the unregulated Reuss, Switzerland's fourth-longest river, flows through a wide valley in numerous picturesque meanders. Laubehuus takes up the large volumes of the historic buildings in the centre of Zufikon and reinterprets them with contemporary architecture.

The modern Laubehuus consists of an elongated section running from northeast to southwest and a shorter wing perpendicular to it in the north, which presents its well-proportioned gable end to the village street. The ground floor of the northern wing houses the communal areas: a shared living and event room, a workshop, and car and bicycle parking spaces. In addition, the communal vaulted cellar offers a great space for various events and uses. The northern wing also contains the access core with a lift and staircase.
