»Neumatt« – beautiful historical home, stunning landscape

From wherever in Zurich, your gaze always falls on the striking silhouette of the Uetliberg and the Albis chain to the south, where the sun sets spectacularly each evening. The magical scenery poses a question, as to what is actually hidden behind this mountain range. It is worth discovering.

For beyond the mountains you arrive at a pristine landscape with green meadows, pastures, dense forests, clear streams and lakes. On the southern slope of the Albis chain, the lovely valleys of the Reppisch and Jonenbach run in rapid succession before the wide flatlands of the Reuss river reveals itself. This rural area of the Knonauer- and Säuliamt is only a shy 15 minutes away from the metropolis on Lake Zurich and the commercial city of Zug.

On the sunny southern slope of the Albis, where the Reppisch river runs, in the midst of meadows and fields, lies the small village of Riedmatt with gracefully aged houses, that catch the eye with its beautiful historical details. The largest house, standing at a slight angle, features the lovingly renovated "Neumatt" house-half, which has been furnished to a high standard. From the property, you can enjoy a beautiful view over the picturesque Wiesental valley to the nearby Türlersee lake. This is true living in the countryside in the heart of nature.

The family home was built in 1784 as a two-story semi-detached plastered house, on a small hilltop above a basement plinth rising from the terrain. Today the building is under monument protection. Together with further farmhouses, a bee house, several barns, old storage and functional buildings, it forms an ideal country-like place, which is embedded in a small group of trees in a wide meadow. The House has sweet-like character, with the south-facing gable the steep roof, and the colour-contrasting shutters. All the details together, form a memorable Landmark.

At "Neumatt" you can enjoy all the comforts of modern living, with well-cut, multipurpose rooms, a first-class, modern kitchen, several bathrooms, custom-made built-in closets and cozy parquet floors. This is rustic elegance combined with comfort, is a home of the present day.
