»Schlossblick Marschlins«
The hillside plot surrounded by meadows,
vineyards and groves of trees
The »Schlossblick Marschlins« building plot is nestled on a gently sloping sunny hillside on the south-eastern edge of the village, surrounded by meadows, vineyards and groves, around 450 metres from the village centre and 850 metres from the eastern edge of the valley. The properties offer spectacular views, including the peaks of the Alvier group (2,385 metres above sea level), the Vilan (2,376 metres above sea level) and the Falknis (2,560 metres above sea level).
The building plot forms the south-eastern end of a residential area recently developed with new detached houses, which connects to Igis on the valley side. Two full storeys without attic or loft may be built on the vacant plot.
While the lowlands lie under a grey blanket of high fog, the sun ripens the finest wines in the ‘Bündner Herrschaft’ region. In 1880, Johanna Spyri set the story of Heidi and Peter in the nearby wine-growing village of Maienfeld, thus creating a Swiss myth.

From the plain (550 metres above sea level on the Rhine) to the high mountains (Calanda massif 2804 metres above sea level), this region, richly endowed by nature, offers almost unlimited leisure opportunities. The nearby spa and health resort of Bad Ragaz indulges visitors in the sophisticated ambience of the Belle Epoque with wellness facilities, fine dining, a private aerodrome and one of the most beautiful golf courses in Switzerland. In winter, there are small and large ski resorts with countless kilometres of pistes to choose from.
In Igis and Zizers, you can find everything you need for your daily needs within walking distance. The cantonal capital of Chur is just a ten-minute drive away and offers plenty of culture, bars and restaurants. The big city of Zurich and the banking and university city of St. Gallen are both a good hour's drive away. The Principality of Liechtenstein, Austria, Germany, Ticino and Italy are also not far away.
While Igis and Zizers were founded in the early Middle Ages, Landquart only came into being much later in connection with the transfer station from the SBB to the narrow-gauge Rhaetian Railway. Today, Landquart is a supra-regional shopping destination with numerous supermarkets and speciality shops. Since 2012, Landquart, Igis and Mastrils have merged to form one municipality.
Landquart is named after the river of the same name, which flows through the Prättigau and the ‘Klus’ to the Rhine. It takes just 30 minutes to reach Klosters through the side valley, with access to 300 kilometres of pistes in the Silvretta region. In 40 minutes you can be in the spa town of Davos, the famous meeting place for celebrities from all over the world.
From the property, you can observe the fascinating natural spectacle of the foehn wind rushing through the Rhine Valley. In the crystal-clear air, every detail of the surrounding mountain peaks is clearly visible. You won't regret choosing Schlossblick Marschlins for a second.
