In Switzerland, a particularly large number of historic properties and ensembles have been impressively preserved. Maienfeld in the Rhine Valley is a good example of this. Like a “mini world”, the small town nestles under the towering Falcon (2560 m above sea level) against the sunny vineyards of the Bündner Herrschaft.
In the north of the city center, the historic estate “Collection Nobilis Estate No.2” rises on a quiet cul-de-sac with a fountain. The three-storey patrician house built around 1700 includes an extensive garden, a two-storey extension and a large stable and barn building with plenty of expansion potential.
Top wines are pressed in the favourable climate of Bündner Herrschaft. Numerous sophisticated restaurants invite you to discover culinary delights. The location at the intersection of several transalpine traffic routes was already listed as “Magia” on the Roman road map “Tabula Peutingeriana”.
Johanna Spyri settled the story of Heidi and Peter here in 1880 and thus founded a Swiss myth. Maienfeld is also known for the regular International Equestrian Sports Days.
