The charm of the Upper Engadin
The Upper Engadin, one of the highest inhabited valleys in the Alps, enchants with majestic three-thousand-meter peaks, crystal-clear lakes and the magical light that so impressively captured Giovanni Segantini on screen.
On the edge of the mountain village of La Punt Chamues-ch, where the village merges into meadows and pine forests, lies the elegant mountain villa “La Chamues-ch” — a light-flooded house with a large natural garden and spectacular views of the peaks of the Upper Engadin.
La Punt Chamues-ch has retained the character of an original Engadin village to this day. Numerous historic patrician houses with sgraffiti and thick walls testify to their former importance as a trading center on the route across the Albula Pass. In addition to a Volg shop, a bakery and several restaurants, the village offers a primary school with kindergarten, while the secondary school is located in nearby Zuoz. The Lyceum Alpinum, one of the most renowned boarding schools in the world, is also located there.
Another significant infrastructural advantage is the nearby Vereina Autoverlad, which can be reached in around 35 minutes and provides a quick connection from Sagliains to Klosters in just 20 minutes.
There are 580 kilometers of hiking trails around the property, which lead through fragrant pine forests, along clear lakes and into the almost untouched Val Chamuera. In winter, the Upper Engadin is transformed into a true winter wonderland: A family-friendly lift, cross-country skiing trails, ice skating and toboggan runs are right on the doorstep. In ten to twenty minutes, you can reach the large ski areas of Corviglia or Piz Corvatsch with the highest mountain station in the Eastern Alps.
The region combines alpine originality and sophisticated luxury in a unique way. The famous St. Moritz hosts world-class events, exciting nightlife and exclusive shopping all year round — from the famous “White Turf” horse race and the prestigious winter polo tournament to the legendary Dracula and King's Club nightclubs.

The very well-maintained mountain villa, built in 1972 and extended in 1987, combines the clear design language of Modernism with the archetypes of Engadin architecture, such as charming façade paintings and a window facing the sun. The magnificent, two-storey living hall with gallery, large window fronts and a natural stone fireplace forms the heart of the villa, while the view sweeps across the terrace and garden into the vastness of the valley.
The living hall is connected to the dining area, kitchen, and an office, which can also be used as a guest room. The upper floor comprises two bathrooms and three bedrooms, guest rooms or children's rooms. The room with balcony is perfect for a cozy master bedroom.
“La Chamues-ch” currently consists of three residential units, which can also be connected if required. The extension houses a spacious apartment with bathroom, two bedrooms, guest rooms or children's rooms and a living hall with an open kitchen. As with the main apartment, this also includes a private garage integrated into the house.
Finally, on the attic floor of the extension, there is a charming studio apartment with a private entrance, bathroom and combined living, dining and bedroom, which can be made available to employees, guests or tenants.
