The magical light, the mild temperatures, the lush vegetation — in picturesque Brissago, right on the shores of Lake Maggiore, you immediately feel like you're in the south. In fact, Italy is just a stone's throw away. The well-maintained waterfront offers spectacular views of the lake and mountains.
Above Brissago, where the villa district gradually merges into the untouched nature of oak and chestnut forests, the elegant, new architect house “Balcone di Dio” nestles on the sunny slope. The spectacular landscape spreads out like a huge panorama in front of the large windows.
Brissago offers cozy cafés, bars and restaurants. The lake community is also known for the tobacco and cigar factory, which has been producing the slim Virginia cigar with a straw since 1847. And from everywhere you can see the Brissago Islands, on which Baroness Antoinette de Saint Léger set up a botanical garden in 1885.
Since the Belle Époque, Locarno, just 15 minutes from the property, has become a popular haven for artists and writers. To this day, working and living can be combined just as well as alpine leisure, water sports and golf in the Arcadian environment.
