Where the Rhine leaves Lake Constance, the historic castle-like estate “Wassermusik” rises above Wagenhausen in the canton of Thurgau. Set on an elevated position south of the river, the property enjoys spectacular views across the idyllic landscape towards Hohenklingen Castle, which towers high above the town. The expansive grounds extend all the way down to the Rhine, offering private access to the river and the opportunity for a refreshing swim in its clear waters.

The nearby village centre offers a Volg grocery store for everyday necessities. The picturesque town is renowned for its exceptionally well-preserved historic centre and magnificent painted façades. The railway station is approximately a ten-minute walk away, while Zurich city centre can be reached by car in around 50 minutes.
Built around 1530 and referred to in historical records as a castle, the property once served as the seat of the Obervogtei Wagenhausen. It has undergone extensive renovation in close collaboration with the heritage conservation authorities, including the careful restoration of the magnificent wall painting dating from 1689 on the north façade.
