Engelberg — a trendy alpine destination
A good half hour south of Lucerne, you are already in the middle of the High Alps. At an altitude of 1000 meters, the mountain village of Engelberg is picturesquely situated in a high valley and overlooks the snow-covered Titlis mountain range (3238 m).
East of Engelberg Abbey, close to fragrant mountain meadows, is an apartment building with the luxuriously furnished attic maisonette apartment “ExquiSuite”. Green areas, an indoor swimming pool, wellness area and light-flooded common rooms are available for residents of the well-maintained residential complex. The valley station of the Brunni ski area is just a few steps away — the dream of skiing right on the doorstep comes true!
Engelberg has developed into a trendy alpine destination and surprises with charming village shops, supermarkets and numerous bars, cafés and restaurants. Reopened in 2021, the “Kempinski Palace Hotel” combines Belle Époque charm with modern luxury. On the summit of Mount Titlis, a spectacular new summit station will be built according to plans by star architects Herzog & de Meuron. The existing radio tower is being transformed into an iconic landmark with a viewing platform.
The original alpine landscape of the high valley can be explored on 360 km of hiking trails and well-developed via ferratas. Further east, an 18-hole golf course nestles into the valley. Paragliders can fly high-altitude and thermal flights in Engelberg for several hours.
In winter, 82 kilometers of varied slopes invite you to glide in powder snow. The Brunni snowboard and ski area is located on the sunny side of the valley and, with cable car, three-person chairlift and the extra-steep Schonegg ski lift, reaches up to 2,040 m above sea level. If that's not enough, the Titlis ski arena offers more than two dozen different slopes up to glacier downhill runs. At the summit, you are welcomed by a panoramic restaurant, a glacier grotto and Europe's highest suspension bridge. Cross-country skiers, tobogganers and winter hikers are also well catered for in Engelberg.

“ExquiSuite” is located on the fourth floor and is easily accessible by lift. The friendly entrance already conveys the guiding principle of the apartment: stylish, custom-made wooden installations of high quality craftsmanship. The elegant, space-saving exchange staircase to the gallery is designed as an invigorating room sculpture.
The light-flooded living hall opens up to below the sloping roof with an impressive ceiling height. A spacious window front provides a view of the park-like courtyard and the majestic Titlis massif. A Swedish stove supports the cozy, alpine living atmosphere. The adjacent terrace extends the living space into the open air. A high-quality Boffi kitchen is discreetly hidden behind elegant wooden folding doors. The cozy dining area is nestled under the gallery.
At the top of the gallery, there is a spacious sleeping area, protected by a columnless glass balustrade. A lounge corner completes this retreat. The luxurious bathroom features a floor-level shower, free-standing bathtub and a semi-transparent wood-glass wall that elegantly combines the bathroom and living room. “ExquiSuite” offers an exclusive retreat in the middle of the Alps — as a first or second home, during holidays or as a permanent home.
